Every ticket becomes a duel. Inkblade Duel is a real 2D fighting game painted in sumi-e ink. The player is Kage, the last Inkblade, and each sealed prize scroll is guarded by a rival clan fighter. Beat them and the seal breaks. This is a proper fighter, not a tap-to-reveal. Fighters are fully rigged and animated, with fluid blended motion, a flowing headband, squash on landing and real weight behind every strike. You get chained combos (Strike, Strike, Kick, Heavy), juggles off launchers, a combo counter with ranks from Sharp to Legendary, and blocking high and low. Tapping forward as a hit lands parries it with a white flash. Hits freeze for a beat, the camera kicks, ink splatters and stains the ground, and defeated rivals dissolve into ink. Special moves use classic motion inputs, or one Ki button for players who just want to have fun: - **Ink Shuriken**: a spinning projectile (↓↘→ + Strike). - **Rising Crane**: an invincible launching uppercut (→↓↘ + Heavy). - **Shadow Step**: vanish and reappear behind the rival with a kick (↓↙← + Kick). - **Thousand Strokes**: a full-Ki super with a cinematic freeze, a dash flurry and a finishing slash. Three rivals rotate through the ladder, each with their own style and AI: Hikari the fox kunoichi teleports and throws foxfire, Karasu the crow tengu dives from the air, and Tetsu the iron monk shrugs off hits with armoured palms. The last scroll is always guarded by the boss, Kurozane the Lantern Shogun: a towering oni with a naginata, ground shockwaves and lantern fire. At half health his mask breaks and he starts calling down lightning. Buyers who would rather not fight can press Swift Strike for a one-second iaido finisher, or Reveal all. Every duel ends the same way whatever happens in the fight: the scroll reveals the result the platform already decided. Plays on desktop with the keyboard and on phones with an on-screen stick and four buttons. A procedural taiko soundtrack and hit sounds start only after the first tap, with a mute button.
Each ticket is one duel. **Fight duel** starts a playable fight against the next guardian. When the guardian falls, their scroll unrolls and shows that ticket's result: the prize name, value and image on a win, or an empty scroll on a loss. The ledger under the stage lists every ticket and fills in as scrolls open. **Swift Strike** reveals exactly one ticket with a short finishing cinematic. It also works mid-fight as a skip. **Reveal all** opens every remaining scroll in quick succession. The player cannot lose a duel. If Kage's health runs out he rises again with Ki restored, and when the 99 second timer ends a Swift Strike finishes the fight. The fight never changes a result; it only decides how the scroll is opened. The last ticket in a set, or the only ticket when one is bought, is the boss duel against Kurozane. Controls on a keyboard: - Move with A and D or the arrow keys. Hold back to block, and down-back to block low. - W jumps and S crouches. Tap forward twice to dash. - J is Strike, K is Heavy and L is Kick. I is Ki: forward + I throws a shuriken, down + I is Rising Crane, back + I is Shadow Step, and I alone at full Ki is the super. - The ? button shows the controls in game. With no plays, the game shows a friendly empty state and offers a practice duel. Art: hand-painted characters, three stages and the logo come with the game. The images use these tags: `kage-atlas`, `fox-atlas`, `tengu-atlas`, `monk-atlas`, `oni-atlas` (character part sheets), `stage-bamboo`, `stage-peaks`, `stage-shrine` (backdrops) and `inkblade-logo`.
